Prime Minister Ana Brnabic highlighted today the importance of the modernisation and reconstruction of the Belgrade-Budapest railway, as this is the first cross-border project jointly implemented by Serbia, Hungary and China within the framework of cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Brnabic, who attended the commencement of works on the modernisation and reconstruction of the railway on the Belgrade Centre-Stara Pazova section, at the Zemun Railway Station, said that she sees the symbolism in this since she met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest today.
The Prime Minister underlined that in Budapest at the Summit of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEEC), she proudly led the delegation of Serbia, which has the largest number of projects in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, but also within the framework of the smaller initiative of cooperation between Central and Eastern Europe with China.
