Economic connection between Serbia, Macedonia

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said after talks with Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev that a preliminary agreement on a joint session of the two governments had been reached, due to be held in late February or early March next year.

At a joint press conference, Brnabic said that they also discussed concrete projects and cooperation.
She thanked Zaev for Macedonia's support to Serbia for the seat of the Transport Community of South-East Europe, for which Belgrade is running.

The Prime Minister pointed out that Serbia has responded with support to Macedonia for the organisation of the Digitization Summit next year and that it will be available for every kind of assistance for holding the summit as well as for all other regional initiatives.
Brnabic indicated that the visit by Zaev is a good signal for all our further projects.
This is a good signal that talks on all possible open issues should be resolved through dialogue, Brnabic said, adding that the visit of Zaev is a real step in terms of further economic and trade linking and strengthening the friendship of the two countries.
Zaev assessed that relations between Serbia and Macedonia are friendly and on a high level, and that European integration is the political priority of both countries.

The Serbian people in Macedonia is one of the constituent peoples in the Macedonian Constitution, and the Serbian is the official language in the three municipalities, the Macedonian Prime Minister said.
