Dialogue important for fostering democracy

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that public dialogue and cooperation between state institutions with civil society and organizations that can contribute to faster and more efficient development of society are very important, emphasizing the government's openness to such dialogue.

At the conference "Good Governance and the Efficiency of Citizen Participation", Brnabic said that no government knows what is best to do in every segment of society, and that it is therefore necessary, if it wants to be successful and works in the interest of citizens, to listens to civil society, investor associations, and recognize good initiatives and do everything to implement them in practice.
She underlined that the government of Serbia wants to listen and together with all these factors implement initiatives to change the situation in Serbia for the better.
The Prime Minister said that dialogue is necessary also because there are large polarizations and divisions in our society, which is not unique to our society, but it is a reflection of the time in which we live.
According to Brnabic, the richest are those societies whose development is based on dialogue, discussion and respect for the right to think differently.
She underlined that the government of Serbia wants to listen and together with all these factors implement initiatives to change the situation in Serbia for the better.
