Improvement of economic, cultural ties with Turkey

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Speaker of the Great National Assembly of Turkey Ismail Kahraman concluded in today’s talks that the bilateral cooperation of the two countries is on the rise and that there are good conditions for the improvement of economic ties, especially after the successful visit of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Brnabic emphasised that Serbia-Turkey agreements are especially important in the field of agriculture and trade and that the Serbian government will try to provide even more favourable climate for future Turkish investments in Serbia.
A protocol on cooperation between the two parliaments, which will facilitate co-operation in the field of culture, economy and security, is of great significance for improving relations at the bilateral level, Kahraman said.
He noted that significant steps have been taken in the Serbian economy over the past few years due to the reforms of the Serbian government, which is an incentive for all Turkish companies that want to do business in Serbia.
At the meeting it was concluded that both countries will work to preserve the common cultural heritage through the restoration of cultural monuments in Belgrade, Golubac and Novi Pazar, and for which a protocol was signed during Erdogan’s visit to Serbia.
It was also concluded that the task of both countries is to preserve and transfer this heritage to future generations.
