With his visit, Dacic gave his full support to the life, work and survival of Christians in the Middle East.
In a joint prayer, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and the Metropolitan prayed for peace in the Middle East and the Balkans.
Dacic met in Baghdad with representatives of the Association of Students who studied in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, as well as with Secretary-General of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Abdul Hussein Mubarak, President of the Federation Jaafar al-Hamdani and a group of Iraqi businessmen.
In a short conversation, representatives of the students evoked memories of their studies in Belgrade, recalling the significant economic cooperation between the two countries during the second half of the 20th century.
During the talks, Mubarak and Al-Hamdani pointed to the significant space for economic linking of the two countries, as well as the importance of participation of Serbian companies in the upcoming phase of reconstruction and building of Iraq.
Dacic informed the businessmen and representatives of the Association of Students with the current state of economic relations between the two countries, and at the same time presented the potentials of the Serbian economy, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
