First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic emphasised today, during the talks with Secretary-General of the Nordic Council Dagfinn Hoybraten, that the key priority for Serbia is the affirmation of regional cooperation and the policy of good neighbourly relations.
Dacic emphasised that the Nordic model of cooperation is a unique example of strong regional relations and that the experience of the Nordic Council can serve as an example for connecting the countries of the Western Balkans in the way Nordic countries work, at least in certain segments.
He added that, in this direction, our country has initiated further strengthening and strong economic integration of the countries of the region.
Hoybraten expressed gratitude for the friendly talks and stressed that during his stay in Serbia he had the opportunity to make sure that there was more similarity between the Western Balkans and the Nordic region than he had previously thought.
Speaking about the positive experiences of Nordic cooperation, and in the context of regional cooperation in the Balkans, he pointed to the importance of building the relationship of trust and defining potential for cooperation.
