Serbia to receive €4m for education of migrants

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides and informed him about modalities of solving the migrant crisis.
Brnabic underlined that she is very satisfied with the way in which Serbia has been dealing with the migrant crisis so far and added that the inclusion of migrant children in the primary education system has significantly contributed to the improvement of the situation.
She stressed that Serbia will continue to actively work on finding a comprehensive solution to the crisis and give full support through constructive proposals and concrete moves.
Stylianides said that he got convinced that Serbia is a reliable partner, and announced humanitarian assistance to our country in the amount of €4 million, primarily for the education of children of migrants, in order to obtain vocational education as soon as possible and get included in everyday life.
He added that Serbia is an important partner of the European Union and that it has a clear European future.
