First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that Special adviser to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Vladislav Surkov and former US ambassador to NATO and US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker met in Belgrade to discuss a cease-fire in the east of Ukraine.

Dacic said in a statement to Radio Television Serbia that this is an indication of a changed and improved foreign policy position of Serbia.
The representatives of the Russian Federation and the United States discussed the speedy implementation of the Minsk agreement, as well as the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
The talks in Belgrade are part of many multilateral efforts to resolve this conflict.
