She said that our country regards the “One Belt, One Road” project as one of the most important global initiatives, and it pays great attention to cooperation with China under the 16 + 1 mechanism.
I believe that this dialogue will contribute to the consolidation of the foundations of education, which is a condition for the prosperity of every society, Brnabic reiterated, adding that intellectual elites from China and Europe have gathered in Novi Sad.
According to her, the CEEC is an integral part of wider cooperation between China and the EU, bearing in mind that 11 countries are EU Member States and the remaining five are on the European path, with which China has established strategic cooperation.
She stated that special mention was given to our country at the Third Meeting of Governments held in Belgrade in 2014, pointing out that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic pays special attention to this format of cooperation.
Brnabic stated that as a new prime minister of Serbia, she will continue to make efforts to further strengthen the cooperation, and at the same time announced that she will participate in the next meeting of China and CEEC countries in Budapest on 28 November.
At the same time, the Prime Minister announced that Belgrade will be the next host of a meeting of mayors within the CEEC mechanism.
She underlined that the future lies in the youth and education, and Serbia is impressed by the development of China in the field of education, so Serbia and China should work on the exchange of students and educational and scientific institutions, the learning of Chinese language and the like.
Recalling that the Belgrade-Beijing air service has been introduced, she voiced expectation that this will contribute to the even greater cooperation of the two countries.
