Brnabic said after the arrival of
the first airplane in 17 years on the line from Beijing to Belgrade to the Nikola Tesla Airport that this data speaks volumes about how much we have succeeded in bringing Serbia and China together in the last couple of years and in improving relations between the two countries.
It is fantastic to see the results of hard work and this is the reason why people accept to invest their entire life into the work of the government, Brnabic said.
The Prime Minister stated that there are many good joint projects, such as the construction of the Zemun-Borca bridge, Corridor 11, the Belgrade-Budapest highway, as well as the symbol of friendship and joint success – the Smederevo steelworks.
She recalled that the Serbian government abolished visas for Chinese citizens, adding that these are all signals that will enable us to have much more cooperation and to be what we want - the central state for China in the project "One Belt - One Road".
Brnabic thanked the Serbian government once again, the previous office of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic for their hard work on establishing the Beijing-Belgrade flight.
She also thanked Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang on a professional and personal engagement on improving relations between Serbia and China every day, as well as Chinese company Hainan Airlines, which believed in Serbia.
The Serbian government will remain a stable and long-term partner to China in its ventures in Europe, Brnabic concluded.
