Fakibaba conveyed congratulations from Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yıldırım on her appointment and wished her great success in work.
Brnabic stressed that Serbia has a great agricultural potential whose opportunities can be better utilised by more intensive use of modern technology and improving productivity of production.
She explained that it is necessary to focus on exports of products with higher processing, rather than exports of raw materials.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that over 150 businessmen from around 90 Turkish companies engaged in a wide range of activities, from the production of food and veterinary products, to agricultural machinery, that participated in the Turkish-Serbian agricultural business forum in Belgrade.
This shows the strong interest of Turkish businessmen to cooperate with farmers from Serbia, Brnabic said, adding that the Serbian government will work to intensify this cooperation.
The Serbian government, she said, succeeded in economic reforms and measures of fiscal consolidation to establish macroeconomic stability and improve the business conditions in Serbia, thus opening up a significant investment space for Turkish businessmen in our manufacturing industry.
There is great potential to increase the value of trade in agricultural and food products between Serbia and Turkey, which in the last five years amounted to approximately $70 million, Brnabic said.
Fakibaba said that Serbia is a key country for the stability and further economic development of all countries in the region.
He stressed that he had very successful meetings today, expressing the belief that the cooperation between the two countries, following today's Forum, has gone a step further in the field of production of agricultural products.
Fakibaba pointed out that the two countries could cooperate on export to third markets, adding that Serbia is an important economic destination for Turkey and a great friend.
