Day of victory over fascism celebrated

The day of victory over fascism in World War Two was celebrated last night in the big hall of the Sava Centre.
The celebration began with the national anthem and continued with a speech by Serbian President Boris Tadic, after which a short film about last days of the war in Belgrade and other European cities was screened.
The entertainment programme which included more than 200 performers was organised by the Committee for Preservation of Tradition of Serbia's Liberation Wars and the Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy.
The Victory Day celebration was attended by state officials of Serbia and Serbia-Montenegro, World War Two veterans and other distinguished guests.
