US investors interested in investing in Serbia

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated that the reputation of Serbia in the United States today has improved manifold, which is very important as more and more American investors are interested in investing in our country.

Speaking in the morning programme of Television Pink, Vucic noted that out of eight bids for "Telekom Serbia", as many as five are from companies from the United States.
With some of them, a contract will be signed in a month or two and they will hire between 2,000 and 3,000 people.
US Vice President Joseph Biden knows Serbia perfectly and speaks about it with respect, the Prime Minister said and added that this great world power is satisfied with our economic reforms.
According to Vucic, during his three-day visit to Washington the bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, Serbia's European path and the opening of chapters, as well as the Bitici case, whose solution is our obligation.

In this context, Vucic pointed out that the question of European integration of Serbia received Biden’s support, as well as of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, which is why he believes that the first chapters in the EU accession negotiations will be opened by the end of the year.
Serbia is now seen by everyone as a country which, although not a member of the EU, protects European values better than some other Member States.
The Prime Minister also commented on the issue of migrants, noting that there is no reason for panic and that Serbia will not raise the walls because that is not the solution to the refugee crisis.
Around 160,000 people have passed through Serbia, who altogether committed only three criminal offences, he said and expressed satisfaction with the attitude of Serbian citizens towards refugees.
