Speaking at a press conference held after the meeting at the Palace of Serbia, Dacic announced that the interior ministries of Serbia and Hungary will tomorrow assess whether conditions were created for the opening of the Horgos border crossing for traffic.
He pointed out that it is the first concrete move between the two countries towards normalisation of the situation relative to the refugee crisis.
Stefanovic said he was surprised by the fact that Croatia was not ready for the migrant crisis, since it has been aware of the events in the neighborhood for one year.
He announced that the Serbian government will try work on the establishment of the normal dynamics on the motorway and border crossings with Croatia.
Szijjarto noted that Hungary had started to build a security barrier along the Croatian border to prevent illegal entry into its territory and criticised Croatia for transporting the refugees to the Hungarian border instead of taking care of them and registering them, by giving the justification that it was agreed with the Hungarian police.
We never entered into such an agreement, Szijjarto said and explained that the fence on the border with Serbia has nothing to do with Serbia, but that Hungary was forced to do it to stop illegal crossings of the border.
