Vucic said at a press conference after the meeting with Dodik that he asked him in the name of Serbia to reconsider this decision, adding that it is a sovereign decision of Republika Srpska.
I am grateful to Dodik for respecting the position of Serbia, which I believe is comprehensive and serious, he said and at the same time conveyed his gratitude for leaving space to talk about a referendum.
Serbia has never meddled in the domestic affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina, nor in Republika Srpska, But today I am thankful that Dodik has accepted this kind of talks, Vucic said.
Vucic and Dodik also talked about the event in the Potocari Memorial Centre, and reached agreement that it was the attempt to destabilise the region.
They also agreed that it is necessary to establish and maintain peace and full stabilisation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Prime Minister said in this context that he will not prosecute anyone for the assault because he believes that the competent authorities of Serbia, Republika Srpska and Bosnia-Herzegovina will do their job and that the perpetrators will be held accountable.
The officials also discussed the commencement of work on the bridge Bratunac - Ljubovija and commodity loans and models of infrastructure connections.
Dodik stressed that he is ready for dialogue on the judiciary and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia-Herzegovina, but if no agreement is reached, there is the decision on the referendum.
Republika Srpska is ready for dialogue with everyone, and consultations with Serbia are of utmost importance, he pointed out and announced that he will meet with the Serbian leadership once again in September to discuss the situation regarding the referendum.
He expressed the hope that an agreement will be reached within two-three months, noting that neither the Constitution of Bosnia-Herzegovina nor the Dayton Agreement stipulate the existence of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
