Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said today that his hand toward the Bosniak people remain stretched, despite the attack on him in Potocari, adding that he will continue with this policy in the future.
At an extraordinary press conference held after the government session, Vucic urged Serbs to continue treating the Bosniaks as their neighbours and friends, and reiterated that the state of Serbia will treat the Bosniaks the same as before.
He explained that during
the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the killing in Srebrenica he was very warmly welcomed by the mothers of those killed, as well as by Mayor of Srebrenica Camil Durakovic.
Speaking about the attack on him, Vucic said that the attack was well organised and prepared, and stressed that the attacks are not supported by the victims' families and those who have lost someone.
I express regret that this happened and because some people have not recognised my sincere intention to build friendship between Serbs and Bosniaks, the Prime Minister said.
He told the people of Republika Srpska that they should not feel humiliated, but that some others need to consider what they did today.
The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Special Forces of the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska who helped the Serbian delegation to get out of Potocari.
