Vucic to present Serbia in Srebrenica on 11 July

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that the Resolution on Srebrenica has not been adopted by the UN Security Council today and added that our country does not see this news as a victory, because in Srebrenica there are no winners, only victims who demand our respect.

Vucic said at an extraordinary press conference held after the government session, that the UN Security Council did not even try to make that big step that will bring back understanding, forgiveness, respect, and normal life, but that only we can do that - Serbs and Bosniaks, Orthodox Christians and Muslims, we who live in these lands and have no other home.

Srebrenica and any other scaffold, every Serbian scaffold is, first of all, our great sin, pain and warning, to none else but to us, who are supposed to live bordered by those graves, the Prime Minister underlined.

Serbia most sincerely wants to reach out its hand to its neighbours and help them to enter into dialogue, but it will not accept humiliation. We will show that we have the courage, boldness and determination and will confront some of the greatest powers defending the blue-red-white flag and out motherland, which no one can step on, Vucic declared.

According to the Prime Minister, every crime has a name and surname, those in Kravica, Bratunac, Srebrenica, Jasenovac, Jadovno and every other place, which means that there is no collective guilt of either Serbs, Croats or Bosniaks.

The Resolution on Srebrenica was not intended to bring about reconciliation, which is why Serbia was against it, he explained, adding that we are not and will never be against victims and will never be against Croats and Muslims.

I sincerely ask everyone not to try to humiliate Serbia, because that is the only thing Serbia will not accept and I as prime minister will not allow that, Vucic said.

In recent days, he noted, talks were held with the highest representatives of Russia, messages were exchanged with representatives of China, and letters were exchanged with all members of the UN Security Council.

He expressed confidence that neither tomorrow will the Security Council pass the Resolution on Srebrenica in its present form, noting that he personally received such guarantees.

The Prime Minister stated that he will present Serbia in Srebrenica on 11 July and this decision has been made at a session of the Serbian government this evening.
