Dacic underlined at a press conference that Serbia will carefully examine the text of the resolution in the coming days and will be guided by national interests, without questioning the commitment to punishing war crimes.
Serbia has demonstrated by its example the commitment to the fight for the punishment of war crimes and believes that all of them should be penalised, especially taking into account the numerous crimes committed against the Serbian people, Dacic underlined.
At the same time, he announced that Serbia will intensify in the coming period bilateral contacts with countries that have not recognised the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo-Metohija.
According to Dacic, there is a continuing desire of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to restore and cherish traditional friendship, keeping in mind national interests when it comes to Kosovo-Metohija.
Europeans have the most knowledge about Kosovo, he said, while other countries may not analyse the problem too deeply and do not realise that what happens there is a violation of the principles of international law and that tomorrow the same can happen to them.
Speaking about the activities until the end of June, he announced that he will participate tomorrow in the annual meeting of foreign ministers of the Central European Initiative, while on 16-17 June, in the capacity of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, he will speak at a meeting of the leadership of the Munich Security Conference in Vienna.
Also, the First Deputy Prime Minister said that the appointment of ambassadors and consuls general will begin in the coming days, in order to appoint a total of 34 diplomats by the end of the year.
