Donation of Japan to promote education, health care

Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Srdjan Verbic, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Masafumi Kuroki signed an agreement today on the Japanese donation in the amount of €306,941 for schools and health centres in Serbia.
Verbic recalled that the government of Japan since 1999 launched approximately 200 projects and donated funds in the areas of education, health and social care, adding that the help is immeasurable.
Loncar said that the equipment and vehicles will be delivered to the health institutions in Krupanj and Ub and will contribute to higher quality and faster delivery of health care to citizens.
Kuroki said that the government of Japan made a decision to provide a grant in the amount of $3.64 million to Serbia through the UNDP to strengthen the capacity of municipalities in accidental situations.
