Minister of Culture and the Media Ivan Tasovac signed a book of condolences at the Embassy of France in Belgrade to pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack on the satirical magazine ''Charlie Hebdo" in Paris that killed 12 people.

Tasovac wrote that the perfidious attack on journalists of ''Charlie Hebdo" was an attack on the French tradition of satire and sharp criticism of the European idea of freedom of opinion and expression.
Deeply shaken by the loss of innocent lives, I admire the citizens of France for their commitment to the spirit of tolerance. A dignified struggle for a free and open society is a struggle for all of us, Tasovac wrote.
