Ministers of the Interior of Serbia and Macedonia Nebojsa Stefanovic and Gordana Jankuloska signed today the Agreement on the mutual recognition of driving licences of the two countries.
Stefanovic said at a joint press conference held after the signing of the document at the Palace of Serbia that the Agreement will come into force after its ratification in the Serbian parliament.
The Minister expressed hope that cooperation between the police of the two countries will be even better in the time to come and that several joint coordinating centres will be opened in the coming months, as it has been done at the Tabanovci border crossing.
Jankuloska voiced hope that this Agreement will be welcomed by citizens of Serbia who travel through Macedonia on their way to holiday destinations, but also by citizens of Macedonia who travel to Serbia.
The interior ministries of Serbia and Macedonia are a good example of how regional cooperation should look like and how good neighbourly relations should be built.
