Vucic announced that amendments to the Labour Law will be adopted in the Serbian Parliament by 17 July, within the deadline set.
He pointed out that the current labour law, which has been in force since 2005 and the policies of those who had previously led the country have brought the country to the fact that the number of employees in the private sector fell by 354,000.
Vucic said that the government despite pressure and protests, decided to adopt the amendments to the Labour Law and the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance.
Lazar Krstic
Krstic said that he had previously agreed on his decision to resign with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.
He pointed out that in addition to structural reforms, which are not only the laws and their application, it is necessary to vigorously address the issues of companies under restructuring.
Krstic said that the government has adopted amendments to the Labour Law and the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which are the first truly reform laws enacted in the last eight or nine years.
According to him, this is a great thing for our country which will improve the state of public finances, but also a signal to potential investors that Serbia is serious about implementing reforms that are not easy.
