In an interview with the German newspaper Handelsblatt, Vucic stressed that Serbia will not postpone any of the planned reform steps, given that reforms are vital for Serbia.
He pointed out that public sector wages need to be decreased and that the number of civil servants must be reduced.
The parliament will within twenty days receive a draft law on labour, to be followed by draft laws on insolvency, privatisation and urban planning and construction, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister voiced hope that Serbia will become a member of the EU by 2020, and by 2019 it must fulfil all obligations assumed on its path towards the EU.
Speaking about the damage caused by recent floods that hit our country, Vucic said that it amounts to at least €1 billion, and underlined that electric power industry and agriculture are most badly hit.
He said that over 1.900 houses must be rebuilt, as well as streets and railroads, and thanked Germany and other EU member states on the help they provide to our country after the floods.
The Prime Minister recalled that several German companies are interested in investing in Serbia.
Vucic reiterated that Serbia will never recognise the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo and noted that our country is doing everything to resolve problems on the ground.
