Blagojevic said at a press conference that Serbia is very grateful for the prompt help of the UN.
In cooperation with the UN, the World Bank and the EU, we are working on collecting information that will be summarised in a single document to quickly establish the needs that have arisen in the wake of the floods, Blagojevic said.
The report will be used to obtain funds from international donors in order to deal with the consequences of the floods, he said.
When it comes to the beginning of construction and reconstruction of destroyed houses, it was announced that the work will begin in the coming days, he said.
UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Irena Vojackova-Sollorano said that the funds were provided from a central fund for emergencies, which is just the first part of the aid.
