Midfielder Carvalho put the home side ahead, slotting home in the 69th minute after a carefully-threaded pass from fellow Brazilian Love.
With seven minutes to go, Love sealed the win from the penalty spot after Nenad Djordjevic was sent off for bringing down Carvalho in the area. Ten men became nine as Ivan Tomic was dismissed during the Brazilian's celebrations for dissent.
