Serbian athletes Emir Bekric and Asmir Kolasinac last night won medals in athletics at the European Championship in Helsinki.

Bekric won the silver medal after arriving second in the men’s 400 m hurdles final race (49.49 seconds), thus becoming the first Serbian athlete to have won a medal at European championships in the open.
Kolasinac was third in men’s shot put final (20.36 metres).
