Serbian tennis team advances to Davis Cup quarter finals

The Serbian tennis team has secured placement in the Davis Cup quarter finals after defeating the Swedish team in Nis yesterday by 4:1 in the first round of the World Group.

The decisive victory was achieved by Janko Tipsarevic who beat Michael Ryderstedt by 3:0 (6:2, 7:6 (7:5), 7:5).
In the remaining singles match, Dusan Lajovic defeated Filip Prpic by 2:0 (6:4, 6:4).
In the quarter finals Serbia will play against the Czech Republic, who eliminated Italy by 4:0.
The quarter finals will be held on 6–8 April.
