Obradovic said at a press conference held on the occasion of presenting the Programme for Lifelong Learning that the Agreement signed between Serbia and the European Commission on 21 December in Brussels allows our country to participate in EU education programmes.
The Minister explained that the pre-school institutions, schools and local governments, as well as associations in Serbia will be able to apply for various programmes to implement partnership with several European countries.
He specified that there are four basic programme groups: Comenius (pre-school, elementary and general secondary school education), Leonardo da Vinci for secondary vocational education, Erasmus for higher education and Grundtvig for adult education.
There are also the so-called transversal language courses and courses for educational policies, IT and support to Roma education.
The deadline for applying for the Erasmus project is 2 February, for Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig 15 February, while applications for transversal programmes can be submitted by 1 March.
The projects can last from one to three years. One-year projects are granted up to €150,000, while the longer ones can receive up to €600,000.
