The athletes who secured their place in the Serbian Olympic team should know that this competition is not merely a sports contest, it is also a great honour, Divac said speaking at the ceremony and added that he hopes Serbia will win its 100th gold medal at this Olympic Games.
Rower Nikola Stojic, Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic, and UK Deputy Ambassador to Serbia David McFarlane also spoke at the ceremony.
The next year's Olympic Games in London will mark 100 years since Serbia first took part at the Olympic Games in 1912 in Stockholm.
