The best Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic defeated last night in the eight-finals of the US Open Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine with 3-0 in the sets 7-6 (16-14), 6-4, 6-2.

Djokovic will compete for the semi-finals with Janko Tipsarevic, who previously beat Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero with 3-1 in the sets 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5, 6-2.
Serbian Nenad Zimonjic and Frenchman Mikael Llodra failed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Open Championship in New York in men's doubles after losing against David Marrero and Andreas Seppi with 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
