Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic recorded a 2:0 (6:4, 6:2) victory over Russia’s Ksenia Pervak in the first round of US Open.

In the next round Ivanovic will play against the winner of the match between Russia’s Evgeniya Rodina and Czech Petra Cvetkovska.
Jelena Jankovic secured placement in the second round having defeated America’s Allison Risk by 2:0 (6:2, 6:0).
She will next engage Australia’s Jelena Dokic.
Novak Djokovic will also be playing in the second round since Ireland’s Conor Niland surrendered the match with the result 1:0 in sets and 5:1 in the second set.
Djokovic’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between Spain’s Pere Riba and Argentina’s Carlos Berlocq.
