Serbian women’s volleyball team wins European League for third time

The Serbian women's volleyball team won a third consecutive European League crown after defeating the Turkish team in the final in Istanbul with 3:0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23).
Serbian player Jovana Brakocevic was named best player (MVP) and spiker of the European League, while Maja Ognjenovic and Natasa Krsmanovic were named the best setter and blocker of the final tournament.
Bulgaria won the bronze medal, which defeated Czech Republic with the result of 3:0.
The women's senior volleyball team of Serbia is a triple and so far the only winner of the European League.
The finalists of the European League, teams of Serbia and Turkey, qualified for 2012 Grand Prix.
