Djokovic gets magnificent welcome from 100,000 fans

Over 100,000 people welcomed last night the country's sporting hero, Novak Djokovic, the world’s best tennis player and the new Wimbledon champion.

Djokovic arrived in front of the parliament building in an open bus that was cheered along its route by tens of thousands of people.
Djokovic thanked all his fans and dedicated the trophy which he brought with him on stage to Serbia.
Thank you all for coming here tonight to welcome me. I am indebted to you forever. I will never forget this, and I dedicate the Wimbledon trophy to you and to Serbia, Djokovic said.
The Serbian Army Guards Orchestra was in front of the Serbian parliament to perform the national anthem.
The world’s best tennis player received a gift from the Serb children from Kosovo-Metohija – a 50-metre-long Serbian national flag.
Djokovic introduced members of his team and family, who he said were with him in the past 20 years to help him achieve his dream.
