Chitu Michael Ruto of Kenya came in second, while Ethiopia's Mulageta Tadele Geremu crossed the finish line third.
Waitaka Nyambura of Kenya won the women's race, having run the hardest athletic discipline in two hours, 34 minutes and 31 seconds, followed by Debele Hailu of Ethiopia and Seifu Sebioka, also of Ethiopia, who came in third.
Ethiopia’s Reda Ehitu Kiros won the half-marathon, with her compatriot Alemu Tedeleh Bekele as a runner up. Serbia’ Olivera Jevtic came in third.
Men’s half-marathon was won by Ethiopian Bekila Bekele, with Kenyan Kebener Kipragat taking the second place and his compatriot Mbiti Wanbua the third.
