Serbia’s female tennis national team beat today in Novi Sad Canada’s doubles team with 3-2 in a match of the first round of World II Group of Fed Cup and thus qualified for play-offs in which it can return among the best eight national teams of the world.

Serbia’s winning team consisted of Bojana Jovanovski and Aleksandra Krunic who defeated Sharon Fichman and Marie-Eve Pelletier with 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
Jovanovski previously defeated Rebecca Marino in singles with 2-0, while Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak defeated Serbia’s Ana Jovanovic also with 2-0.
Jovanovski and Krunic scored a convincing victory over much better coordinated Canadian team and thus showed that the Serbian national team got a great reinforcement in them for upcoming Fed Cup matches.
