Reception for Davis Cup tennis finals

French Ambassador to Serbia Francois-Xavier Deniau organised a reception on the occasion of the Davis Cup tennis finals to be played between Serbia and France from 3 to 5 December at Belgrade Arena.
Among several hundreds of guests, also attending were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Society Jasna Matic and Minister of Youth and Sport Snezana Samardzic-Markovic.
On behalf of the Serbian government I welcome our dear French friends, who have won the Davis Cup trophy eight times over the course of history. This will be the first time for Serbia to take part in the final match, said Djelic and added that the best team should win.
Serbian Tennis Federation President Slobodan Zivojinovic highlighted that this is a week of tennis in Belgrade, Serbia and the world.
Zivojinovic recalled that the capital of Serbia 25 years ago, also in the Davis Cup, hosted the team of France, when our team lost 4:1.
