The Italian police stated that 16 persons were injured, two of them Carabinieri, with others being fans from Serbia.
A total of 138 fans from Serbia were taken into custody, of which 17 have been detained and 35 released, while the police are questioning the others.
According to police estimates, there were around 2,000 Serbian fans at the stadium.
Kick-off for the game was delayed by 35 minutes because of disorder among fans, and it was finally called off after Serbian fans threw flares onto the field and demolished a part of the stands.
Before the game the fans broke into the Serbian team’s bus and attacked goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic, who refused to play for the team after this incident.
The Serbia national team arrived in Belgrade and the UEFA committee is yet to determine an appropriate punishment for the Serbian national team.
