Serbia-Montenegro draw France, Netherlands in European volleyball championship group

Belgrade, 30 October 2004

The Serbia-Montenegro men's national team has been drawn into Pool Two with France, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain and Greece in the 2005 European Volleyball Championship in Italy/Serbia-Montenegro. Matches will be played in Belgrade.

The draw was held today at Belgrade City Hall.

The remaining Pool One includes: Italy, Russia, Poland, Croatia, Ukraine and Portugal. All Pool One matches will be held in Rome.

Opening ceremony of the European championship is scheduled for September 2, 2005 in Belgrade. The first two ranked teams of each preliminary pool will be qualified for the semifinals which will be played in Rome on September 10, 2005. The bronze medal and final matches are scheduled for September 11, 2005 in Rome.
