Silver for Serbia in discus throw at Beijing Paralympics

Serbian athlete Drazenko Mitrovic secured the silver medal at men’s discus throw at Beijing Paralympics.

Mitrovic saved his best for the final sixth throw of 29.09 metres, which earned 1,058 points, securing him the second position behind China’s Liang Fan, who triumphed with a 31.08 metre throw.
The bronze went to Japan’s Toshie Oi whose best shot was of 26.26 metres and the final score 1,032 points.
Another Serbian representative took part in the final and ended eight with 24.57 metres, that is, 893 points.
