The SAA was supported by 140 MPs, 28 were against, out of 168 as Serbian Radical Party (SRS) MPs did not vote.
A requested amendment sought by the SRS confirming the territorial integrity of Serbia has been incorporated in the Law.
Serbia, being the successor of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, understands the provisions of SAA as confirmation that SAA does not hamper with Serbia’s territorial integrity, particularly the status of Kosovo-Metohija as a part of Serbia, which is guaranteed under UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Also, parliament adopted the Law confirming the Agreement between Serbia and Russia on cooperation in oil and gas industries.
The Law was supported by 214 MPs, 22 were against, while one did not vote, out of 237 MPs present.
The energy agreement with Russia stipulates the construction of a gas pipe line through Serbia and sale of oil company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) to Russian Gazprom.
The agreement will be in force for a period of 30 years, upon which it will be automatically extended for another five years if none of the parties want to terminate the deal nine months before its expiry.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy and the Serbian Ministry of Energy and Mining will be in charge of the agreement.
Members of the Serbian parliament also adopted 11 laws on ratification of agreements on the implementation of projects worth a total of €286.5 million.
Under these laws, Serbia is to get loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank and the International Development Association.
The agreements refer to agriculture reform for which Serbia should get €12.5 million, €6.6 million for regional development of Bor, development of Bor €24.3 million, repair of the Belgrade Gazela bridge €33 million, reconstruction of roads and bridges €33 million and reconstruction of traffic arteries €36.8 million.
Serbia is to get €13.3 million for an energy efficiency project, €36.8 million for water irrigation system, and €80 million for reconstruction of clinical centres.
After the voting, parliament ended its fourth extraordinary session.
