Serbia triumphs over Italy

The Serbian national basketball team beat Italy in the Belgrade Arena last night 72:52 (21:11, 17:16, 20:11, 14:14), in the fifth qualifying round for the 2009 European Championships in Poland.
The highest scoring Serbian players were Milos Vujanic with 13 and Dusko Savanovic with 12 points, whereas Giuseppe Poeta scored 14 points for Italy.
On September 13 Serbia will play away to Hungary.
