Another 37,171 citizens living abroad will also have the right to vote, as well as 9,177 citizens currently serving obligatory army service and 8,201 citizens serving prison sentences.
Between the first and second round of election, 20,000 voters were added to the register by court authorisation, which is why the Electoral Committee altered the decision on the number of ballots today.
The pre-electoral silence begins tonight at midnight, and will last until all polling stations are closed on February 3 at 8 pm.
On the day of the election, polling stations will be open from 7 am until 9 pm and citizens will vote for one of the two candidates – Serbian Radical Party (SRS) candidate Tomislav Nikolic and Democratic Party (DS) candidate Boris Tadic.
The results will be determined on February 7 at 8 pm at the latest and the final results will be published in the Official Gazette. The winner will be the candidate that wins the majority of votes of those who exercised their right to vote.
The president is elected to office for a period of five years and the mandate begins on the day he swears the oath at Serbian parliament.
