Serbia's football national team was on Sunday drawn into Group 7 of the preliminary round of the 2010 World Cup.

Serbia, who failed to qualify for the next year's European football championship, were drawn with former world champions France, Romania, Austria, Lithuania and Faroe Islands.
Winners of each of nine European groups qualify for the 2010 finals in South Africa. The eight best runners-up compete in playoffs for four further European places in the finals.
