Wimbledon: Djokovic into semis, Ivanovic defeated by Williams

Serbia's Novak Djokovic won through a five-hour marathon to overcome former Australian Open finalist Marcos Baghdatis 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (11-9), 6-7 (3-7), 4-6, 7-5, in the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

The world number five will meet Rafael Nadal in Saturday's semi-final after the second seed won in straight sets against Tomas Berdych earlier in the day.

The former world No. 1 Venus Williams secured a berth in her sixth career Wimbledon final by beating sixth-seeded Serbian Ana Ivanovic 6-2, 6-4.

Williams committed 11 unforced errors, compared to 24 for Ivanovic.
