The sixth-seeded Ana Ivanovic, runner-up at last month's French Open, saved three match points before overcoming the Czech Republic's Nicole Vaidisova, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5, on Thursday to reach the Wimbledon semifinal.

The 19-year-old Serb will play a Friday semi-final against Venus Williams, who beat Russia's Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-3, 6-4.
Novak Djokovic squeezed past former champion Lleyton Hewitt, 7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 7-6, to reach the quarter-finals of Wimbledon for the first time on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Djokovic reached the French Open semifinals last month.
