Red Star Belgrade won the Serbian football league title with three games to spare after a 2-1 win at second-placed city rivals Partizan left them 13 points clear of their "eternal" rival.

Igor Burzanovic scored for Red Star in the 20th minute and Nenad Milijas added another from the penalty spot in the 66th. Antonio Rukavina scored for Partizan in the 49th.
European Cup champions in 1991 claimed their 25th league title and this was their first championship since Serbia became an independent country after Montenegro split a year ago.
Red Star will have a chance to retain their domestic double when they meet Vojvodina Novi Sad in the Cup final on May 15.
