Champions and leaders Red Star Belgrade cruised to a 2-0 home win over Mladost Apatin on Sunday to stay nine points clear in the Serbian football league.
The 12-team division now splits in two with the top six fighting for the title and the bottom half battling it out to avoid relegation. The bottom three will go down.
Earlier on Sunday, OFK Beograd coach Ratko Dostanic stepped down after Saturday's defeat at Smederevo consigned them to the relegation playoffs as they slipped from fifth to seventh.
