Thus conditions have been fulfilled for holding the constitutive session of the newly formed Serbian parliament on February 14 at noon.
In the report on the elections, the RIK states that voting was held at 8,482 polling stations in Serbia and at 57 polling stations abroad. The total number of registered voters was 6,653,851 and 4,033,586 voters used their right to vote.
According to the Law on parliamentary elections, the final election results and lists submitted by parties, the RIK has confirmed 81 seats for the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and 64 to the Democratic Party (DS).
The coalition Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia (DSS-NS) got 47 seats, G17 Plus 19, the Socialist Party of Serbia 16, and the coalition Liberal Democratic Party – Civil Alliance of Serbia – Social Democratic Union – League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LDP-GSS-SDU-LDSV) 15.
The RIK approved three seats to the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, two to the coalition List for Sandzak, and one each to the Roma Union of Serbia, the Albanian Coalition from Presevo Valley and the Roma Party.
Consultations with party representatives with Serbian Parliament Speaker Predrag Markovic are scheduled for 11 am, regarding the agenda for the constitutive session of parliament, at which mandates of the newly formed parliament will be verified.
Directly after the verification of mandates a debate will begin on the new resolution on Kosovo-Metohija, in response to the proposal presented by US Special Envoy Marti Ahtisaari.
