There are a total of 3,799 candidates from some 40 parties and citizens’ associations. The upcoming elections will be monitored by 4,744 observers, of which 468 are foreigners. A total of 6,653,851 voters will vote in 8,539 polling stations in Serbia and abroad, and polling stations will remain open from 7 am to 8 pm.
Citizens of Serbia in the UK, US and Canada will be able to vote a day earlier than in Serbia. Polling stations in embassies and consulates will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. These three large western countries are among those countries where due to difference in time and procedural reasons voting for parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held a day earlier.
Members of the Serbian armed forces who are either serving the military or are on military exercises will be able to vote tomorrow in polling stations which are closest to the unit where they are stationed.
Serbian citizens who are eligible to vote, and are currently residing in Republika Srpska, will be able to cast their votes tomorrow in Banja Luka. The polling station in Banja Luka will be open on Sunday, in the premises of the Serbian Consulate General in Republika Srpska from 7 am to 8 pm.
The Serbian railways “Zeleznica Srbije” will provide free of charge conveyance to certain categories of citizens from January 20 to January 22 until midnight. The free of charge conveyance is for students with student identification, high school students of age with school cards, soldiers who are in service with military identification, pensioners who have proof of having received pension and all invalids with valid documents.
