Serbia and Montenegro reaches semifinal at women’s volleyball world championship

Serbia and Montenegro beat Chinese Taipei in five sets, 25-22, 24-26, 19-25, 25-15, 15-13, to reach the semifinals of the women's volleyball world championship in Japan.
Serbia and Montenegro finished the second round with a 6-1 record and secured one of the two semifinal berths from Pool E, a day after suffering its first loss of the tournament to host Japan.
In the semifinal matches on Wednesday, Serbia and Montenegro will face Brazil, while Italy will meet Russia.
